Acceptable use policy

SocialEavesdrop is for understanding public conversation about brands, products, creators and topics. This policy is part of the terms of service and applies to everyone who uses the service or data obtained through it.
You may not use the service to
- Monitor, track or profile identifiable individuals, including stalking, harassment, doxxing or compiling dossiers on people.
- Perform facial recognition or biometric identification, or re-identify people from aggregated data.
- Infer or target people by sensitive characteristics, such as health, religion, sexuality, political views or ethnicity.
- Build contact lists for unsolicited messages, spam or telemarketing, or send unsolicited messages to people found through the service.
- Compile databases of personal data for sale, resell raw data, or run a copy or mirror of the service.
- Try to reach private accounts, private posts, direct messages or anything behind a login.
- Share API keys outside your organisation, open several accounts to collect trial credits, or get around rate limits or billing.
- Break any law that applies to you, including data-protection and consumer law.
What we do
- We honour requests from people to exclude their content, across every customer.
- We may review high-volume or unusual use, and ask what it is for.
- We suspend keys or close accounts that break this policy, and may report unlawful use.
